Scott Miller was named Canadian Director of Scouting and Operations in 2006 and is no stranger to college athletics. Coach Miller brings his 25 years of coaching experience to the RPA staff. During this time, he has worked with Syracuse University, University of Michigan, Saint Bonaventure University, McMaster University, Trent University and Mohawk College. During his time at Mowhak College, Miller worked with former Los Angeles Laker Mike Smrek (Smrek won 2 NBA Championships with Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson).
Miller, a native of Hamilton, Ontario is a graduate of the McMaster University (Physical Education) and the University of Toronto (Education). He has also spent the past 25 years coaching high school soccer, cross-country and basketball. Miller won 3 consecutive Etobicoke City Championships with his Boys Basketball teams during the 1993/1994, 1994/1995 and 1995/1996 seasons. As a player, Miller was a two sport high school athlete at Hill Park Secondary School (Soccer/Cross Country). In 1983, he captained Hill Park’s soccer team that reached the city semi-finals and was named the team’s MVP (Most Valuable Player).
